Matthew S. Hallett is a design manager, preservation advocate, and founder of HALLETT & Co., a full-service design management firm based in Savannah, Georgia. His work began in 2000 with a row of three condemned townhouses and has grown to include residential, commercial, and cultural projects throughout the Southeast region.

Specializing in independent client representation for the built environment, H&Co. provides comprehensive planning and coordination services. Matthew’s award-winning insights and designs have been featured in Remodeling Magazine, Savannah Magazine, South Magazine, and on Good Morning America. The restoration and remodel of The Fairfax Residence, a 1950s mid-century modern home, won the 2019 Historic Preservation Award from the Historic Savannah Foundation.

From 2010-2018, Hallett was the Co-Owner and Lead Designer of the design-build firm Ellsworth-Hallett Home Professionals. Predominantly working within historic districts, the firm regularly received recognition for innovative adaptive reuse builds. Most notably, the restoration of a dilapidated 1925 Standard Oil Company gas station was awarded the 2015 Historic Preservation Award from the Historic Savannah Foundation.

Matthew currently serves as Board President of the Habersham Village Neighborhood Alliance, Vice President of the Savannah Tree Foundation, and At-Large Post 1 Appointee of the City of Savannah's Traffic Calming Committee. He has previously served as a board member of the Savannah Downtown Neighborhood Association, Historic Savannah Foundation - Education Committee, and led the Local Host Committee in bringing the Congress for New Urbanism to Savannah in May 2018.

A Maine native, Matthew studied architecture and furniture design at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and is a graduate of Leadership Savannah Class of 2018-2019.
